Why I plan
I don't just plan weddings. I love it when many small details come together to make one big moment.
I noticed this at my own wedding.
I could have handed the planning over. My witnesses were full of ideas and took on their part wonderfully. And still I caught myself wanting to plan every detail myself, think through every little thing and keep an overview at all times.
Not because I don't trust the people I love. But because I realised that planning isn't a burden for me. It brings me joy. What looks to others like endless to-dos, coordination and small decisions is, for me, a wonderful challenge.
I want to know in advance what happens if something doesn't go to plan. I want to think through the schedule, settle open questions and talk things over before they ever become an issue on the wedding day. For me, a well-planned wedding isn't one where every last detail is set in stone. Behind the scenes, everything is so well prepared that you can enjoy your day with a calm mind.
If I've done my job well, nobody notices on the wedding day. That's how it should be.
How I work
With a timeline. Every project gets a timeline calculated backwards from the wedding day. Every task has a date and a person responsible.
With open numbers. You can see at any time what is planned, what is commissioned and what is paid.
Without commissions. I recommend vendors because I believe they are the right ones. You pay them the same price you would without me.
Reachable. I answer every enquiry within 24 hours.
Between cultures and languages
As someone born in Kenya, I bring a very personal perspective to celebrating. To me, weddings are places where people, cultures, families and stories come together. That's why it matters to me to include everyone, regardless of where they come from or what language they speak.
German, English and French are a natural part of my work. I take care of the conversations with vendors, the paperwork and the run of the day in the language your family understands.
This is where I feel most at home: when different people, ideas and expectations come together to make a celebration that feels, in the end, completely like you.

What matters for me
For me, a great celebration begins with one question: how does it feel to be here? Every guest should feel comfortable, welcome and seen, while you enjoy your own moment and simply let go.
When I walk into a venue, I notice the space right away. Is it right for the number of guests? Is there enough room to move, to mingle and to dance? Does the atmosphere match what you have in mind? And I can tell when a schedule isn't going to work, usually half an hour before anyone else notices.
I especially love summer celebrations: warm air, long evenings, and that feeling that nobody really wants the night to end.

H.O.M.E. is young. So far I've mostly planned within my own circle — celebrations for people who know me and asked me anyway. What I learned doing it: the difference between a beautiful celebration and a relaxed one is almost never the budget. It's whether someone has the overview. That's what I now do professionally — which is why right now you get more of my attention than you would from a fully booked agency.
